Audiences packed the intimate Back Space Theatre in Durango five times over the weekend to see the first public screenings of the film since its Best Documentary Award win. Public demand was so high that the exhibitor requested permission to show the film as a Sunday matinee beginning June 30.
Proving more successful than anticipated, the exhibition agreement was amended to allow Ghosts of the West to play through the summer and into the fall.
